What is a Doula?
A Doula is a trained non-medical support professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a birther and their family before, during, and after childbirth. The overall goal of a Doula is to help the birther achieve the most empowering, informed, and supported birth experience possible while fostering a safe and comfortable environment. A Doula does not provide medical duties such as cervical checks, blood pressure, or fetal heart rate, a Doula complements the role of doctors and nurses.

About Kaitlin
I am a compassionate Doula, Birth Educator, Mother, and Army Wife, with an unwavering passion for accompanying birthers on their remarkable childbirth journeys.
My first was born in January 2021, during the pandemic, welcoming my son Thomas. Despite facing challenges and interventions his birth led to a traumatic c-section. Becoming pregnant with my second, my determination was ignited to explore the realm of successful VBACs. Engaging deeply in research, I embarked on my own VBAC journey, resulting in a successful VBAC and the beautiful arrival of my daughter Maisey in December 2022 - an experience that radiated redemption and empowerment.
I graduated in May 2020 with a Master's Degree in Communication and hold a professional history in Public Relations and Event Planning, garnered during my tenure at a nonprofit organization.

Testimonials
"Kaitlin is amazing. She helped me deliver my first son. Really appreciated her calm presence when things weren’t going as planned. She always helped keep me informed of my different options (especially when the doctors didn’t mention them). She stayed with me during 2 days of labor and I am convinced I would have given in to a C-section (which personally was my last option) if it wasn’t for her encouragement and support. I will definitely hire Kaitlin again when I’m ready to have my next baby!" - Rose
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Kaitlin during my pregnancy and birth, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! From our first meeting, it was clear that she was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly compassionate and supportive.
Kaitlin took the time to understand my birth plan and preferences, offering insights and information that helped me feel empowered and prepared. Her calming presence was a game changer during labor; she provided continuous support, encouragement, and comfort measures that made all the difference.
What truly set her apart was her ability to create a safe space for both my partner and me. She encouraged open communication and made sure we both felt involved and informed throughout the process. Her dedication didn’t end with the birth; she followed up to check on our well-being and offered resources for postpartum support.
If you’re looking for a doula who is not only professional but also genuinely cares about her clients, Kaitlin is the one! She made our birthing experience not just manageable, but truly beautiful." - Leanne
About Kristin
Kristin is the owner of It’s Your Birth Day Doula, a teammate, mentor and backup Doula for Kaitlin.
Becoming a doula has been Kristin’s lifelong dream when sparked by witnessing her first birth at the age of 12. It took having her own children to realize that the control desired over her birthing experiences was missing. The day you give birth is a unique and unforgettable one, and her own experiences fueled her determination to empower other women in their birthing journeys.
In 2013, Kristin underwent training as a Birth Doula with Birth Arts International, and in 2022, earned a certification as a VBAC doula through The VBAC Link. My specialization lies in supporting mothers aiming for a vaginal birth after one or more cesarean births.
